review for iphone: 16 plus

Along with using the iPhone 16 Pro Max, I was also using the iPhone 16 Plus. This time, Apple sent the 16 Plus instead of the 16, so we need to review it. However, there’s no loss in that, as the only difference between the 16 and 16 Plus is the size. The iPhone 16 has a 6.1-inch display, while the 16 Plus features a 6.7-inch one. Everything else is the same. I’ll discuss the battery later. Everything is exactly the same; there’s no difference anywhere. The only difference is that for this additional 0.6-inch display, you need to pay an extra $100..

There’s nothing to unbox with the iPhone 16 series. The box contains the phone, a cable, and just some paperwork. When we took the phone out, the color looked amazing! Compared to the previous generation of iPhones, the colors were quite sober. This time, it feels a bit more vibrant and looks appealing. Personally, I like it even more. The back cover is a silicone case for the iPhone 16 Plus. Apple has sent a MacSafe case, which looks wonderful and feels great to use. However, the price feels a bit high when you hear it. This editor has made some changes to the iPhone 16 Plus compared to last time. For example, the camera layout was diagonal last time, but this time it has become vertical. I don’t care about that as long as the picture quality improves.

There haven’t been any changes to the frame and body. There’s no titanium in the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus. However, they have managed the weight well, with a weight of around 199g and a thickness of just 7.8mm. Holding the phone gives a premium feel, and it’s evident that it’s a large phone.

Is there any need for the Plus model? The Plus model generally serves as a bridge between the base model and the Pro models. Is that bridge still necessary? This time, there’s some innovation in the surrounding frame, such as the SIM tray. The SIM tray has been elongated, allowing for a longer SIM to be accommodated.

However, the truly changed feature is the shutter button or capture button. Apple initially claimed that it gives the same haptic feeling as on MacBooks. But it’s visibly apparent that the button presses when you push it. Apple has integrated it so beautifully with the frame. It feels nice. However, there’s a bit of confusion regarding the placement. No matter how you try to take pictures in landscape or portrait mode, there’s some confusion.

When Apple introduces something new, they don’t include it in the non-Pro models. However, this time, they have included the capture button in both the 16 and 16 Plus. Pressing it takes a photo, but double-clicking does not record a video. It starts recording a video if you press it a bit more while holding it. So, as long as you hold it down, it will record a video.

Moreover, this button works very smoothly and effectively. But one has to wonder if this button was really necessary? The refresh rate is not 60Hz. There’s a USB Type-C port, which is still USB 2.0 this time. The USB 3.0 is available in the two Pro models. The non-Pro models still have USB 2.0. There are dual stereo speakers, just like in the Pro models. However, the sound at the bottom of the dual stereo speakers is slightly more. The sound quality is excellent. Regarding the 60Hz refresh rate, let’s move to the display. The 60Hz refresh rate can be inconvenient. If you’re switching from the iPhone 13, 14, or 15 to the 16 Plus, you’ll notice it.

The display is good,

the colors are very nice, and the brightness is sufficient, with a peak brightness of 2000 nits. Additionally, it has a 460 PPI. Despite the larger display size, the PPI is managed well. The colors are also good. However, if you have ever used a phone with a 120Hz refresh rate, you might struggle while using the 60Hz.

The A18 Bionic chip. Apple could have provided the A17 Pro, but they have given the new three-nanometer A18 chip. The performance will be good, and the phone will be able to handle more load for gamers, although Apple has primarily targeted gamers with this device.

The system has 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, and the performance is exceptional. I can say that confidently.

When it comes to battery life, I am 100% happy. You can expect a battery life of 22-24 hours. It comes with a 20W charger. However, the iPhone 16 Plus can set an auto screen dimming setting for the display. There has been an improvement in battery life.

The phone features a 48MP dual-camera setup. The second camera comes with a 12MP lens with a 120˚ field of view. The 48MP camera captures good photos.

In terms of video performance, it offers experiences of recording in 4K and 60fps. The videos run effectively.

I am satisfied with the performance of Apple phones. Although the 16 Plus and 16 are different, everything is well balanced.

From the perspective of design, color, and how the iPhone 16 Plus is crafted, the performance is outstanding. You can expect that at this price.
